Bocabar, a Bristol favourite that is well-known for its Paintworks-based site, opened its sister site at Finzels Reach on November 28th, 2019. Enjoy main plates, burgers, wraps and lush salads for both lunch and dinner alongside our much loved Boca pizzas. In the evenings we also run our popular Small Plates menu to share over drinks with friends.
Open Monday to Saturday, Bocabar Finzels offers a busy social, drinking and dining hub. The inside has an eclectic feel, combining a vintage and rustic look with a little bit of luxury. Expect velvet drapes in the doorways, vintage lamps and reclaimed wood and copper features. There is seating for up to 100 covers, including a Boca-style Chesterfield lounging area with a mix of rustic wooden high tables and stools, perfect for small plates and drinks.
The terrace affords an ample outside seating area with jumbrellas, heaters and festoon lights, offering over 90 seat covers, and accessed through bi-folding doors from the main restaurant and bar. At the back of the terrace is a gorgeous fairy-lit stretch tent that exudes festival chique and is perfect for groups to share food and drinks.
From cocktails to specialist gins, and local craft beers to wines, Bocabar Finzels offers something for everyone: catering for the growing number of office workers and residents who now work and live in the area, as well as those coming from across the city to relax in this new destination along the Floating Harbour.
Bocabar Finzels is based on the ground floor of the historic Fermentation Buildings, beneath Channel 4, which has now opened its new Bristol Creative Hub. The new Bocabar venue opens onto Hawkins Lane, the new walkway that runs through the heart of Finzels Reach, connecting to Castle Park and the city centre via the striking Castle Bridge.
Co-owners, Mel and Paul, and the Bocabar team, hope that you enjoy the comforts of our very bespoke independent venue and that Bocabar can be part of a wonderful day or evening out in this gorgeously reclaimed old city centre of Bristol x
